I think the process used to make the metal rainbow color is adonization. It is not paint. They look really pretty and the insulate well. The covers fit snugly and have a 'thumb slide' so you can open the top to take a sip or two then put it down- great for driving.

I bought this cup to bring coffee to the pool and then be able to pour my other beverages in afterwards. The cup is sturdy and leak proof if you adjust the lid properly. I have put both hot and cold liquids in it and they have held their temp. It's simple and does the job! Happy with this purchase.
